Adapted Tango Programming
Dance with us this spring! We’re seeking participants for a 10-week Adapted Tango series beginning in February 2026, featuring a curriculum designed for individuals with Parkinson’s. Care partners are welcome and encouraged to attend. Weekly 1.5 hour classes include:
gentle warm-up exercises
rhythm and balance training
music appreciation
partner work and tango steps
dancing
refreshments and social time
Instructors are trained in Dr. Madeleine Hackney’s Adapted Tango Fundamentals course, and trained volunteers provide 1:1 support to all participants with PD. Learn more and get involved!

Volunteer trainings introduce: Parkinson’s disease and the research on tango’s benefits for people with PD; Argentine tango and adapted tango; the Tango Therapy Project’s mission and programming; fall prevention.
