Summer 2026 Stroke Pilot Volunteer Training
June 6th, 2026, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Location: The Ginko Center, 1316 S 9th St, Philadelphia, PA 19147
Learn to partner and support participants in our adapted tango classes. Our tuition-free training includes an overview of Stroke and the benefits of tango, an introduction to adapted tango and our curriculum, and a fall detection and prevention module led by Cloudline Physical Therapy.

We are offering a 1-day Volunteer Training for individuals interested in partnering and supporting people that have experienced a stroke for our new Adapted Tango pilot program coming in Fall 2026.

We offered a 1-day Volunteer Training for individuals interested in partnering and supporting people with Parkinson’s disease in our Adapted Tango classes at First Presbyterian Church of Philadelphia.

Adapted Tango Fundamentals Training: June 21-23, 2024
We hosted Dr. Madeleine Hackney’s 16-hour Adapted Tango Fundamentals Training in June 2024. Twenty-five dancers from Philadelphia and beyond joined us for this weekend intensive and obtained certification in Adapted tango.
